After Sunday brunch, Sarah and I head back to camp to pack up. We relax, discuss and enjoy the weekend. Lunch is soon served. The food here made with everyone's love and good intention has been delicious. I must admit because of "baby in utero" I am very hungry and we have worked hard this weekend.By lunch finale, it is pouring rain as only the east coasts of Australia can. Most people race down to their campsite to pack up, whereas Sarah and I watch the beautiful events unfold. Many people go wildly dancing in the rain. Many have taken their clothes off and are having a marvelous time! Soon the drum beats to draw in the circle. We sit inside the hall, only hearing the pouring rain. It is thunder, lightning and wind. We cannot hear anyone speak. We all sit listening to the storm. It is the spell from last night. I look at Starhawk and wonder what ritual we can do if we can't hear anything. We hear peals of laughter from the brave ones outside. Starhawk stands and announces we are taking the ritual outside. It is freezing.... One by one, men and women in their 20's, 30's, 40's,....50's take off their clothes to run to the circle. Others drum, sing and dance for them.....the energy is not dying down.... it is growing. Starhawk is in the center of a wild, weave of spiral dance that everyone instinctively knows how to dance.

Sarah and I run down, not cold at all once naked in the rain. We reach the circle and begin to dance and sing. Eyes meet eyes as we spiral in and out. It is hilarious, exciting and beautiful. We sing and dance to ecstasy. Finally we are all still; with our bodies buzzing, the chant has softened to an OM and our song becomes our dance. It is amazing as we all feel Spirit. The Gods answer in return as we raise the energy to the skies. We take this energy back inside ourselves for the circle close. Holding hands and swaying we each speak our name and take back our thread. I had given an given an emerald thread of hope and taken back a thread of rejuvenation. Courage Sister, you do not walk alone. We will stand with you, and guide your spirit home.
