The Celtic-Cross10-card-reading is a widely used spread that is acknowledged by many professionals and novices. There are many variances within Tarot Readers and the systems or rituals they use before commencing a reading. I think it is important to be in a sacred space with the intention in mind to receive higher and spiritual support.

The first two cards of Celtic Cross 10 card reading shows the questioner and the immediate situation surrounding either a question or an unconscious situation.
In older system the first card was chosen to represent the questioner, but I rely on the cards to give me an indication of the questioner and what the situation is about. The second card "crossing" the questioner shows this.

The third card of the Celtic-Cross10-card-reading is the foundation or underlying consciousness of the situation or person. This is what the situation is built upon and how the questioner has arrived at the situation or the mental stimulus that created the situation.

The fourth card is the past. It is the questioners left side of brain that has allowed the situation into play. The fifth card is the opposite to the third and thus is the unconscious dreams, energies or desires that are coming to the questioner. It is related to the sixth card as this card reveals future symbols, allies or situations that will manifest. This card represents the right side of the brain.
That is the conclusion of the cross that then makes the "circle of spirit" that is surrounding the questioner.

The next card is the seventh and represents the highest chakra point of the questioner. The next cards are what is then being sent back out to the Heavens to then be manifested on Earth.Number seven is mystical in many cultures and this card represents the core of the questioner and the turning point for guidance.

Celtic-Cross10-card-reading reveals others influence and how they may be affecting the situation. This is either a strength or a weakness depending on the cards revealed.Card number nine is unusual as it represents hopes and fears. It is not unusual for a situation that you desire and hope for is also one you fear. It is part of our learning.
Card number ten within Celtic Cross 10 card reading is one outcome of the situation. Several cards are usually drawn to clarify this outcome and perhaps reveal time frames or other situations contributing to this.
